Nigerian Social Media Influencer and activist Martins Vincent Otse also known as Very Dark Black Man (VDM) has set the Nigerian social media space abuzz as he claims to be behind the arrest of Cryptocurrency Trader, Blord, originally called Linus William Ifejika.
VDM shared on his Instagram page that he was behind Blord’s detention while calling him out saying individuals have been losing money on the businessman’s crypto platform.
VDM further ridiculed the crypto trader for not having influence to shield himself from police net “BLORD HAS BEEN DETAINED BY FCID IN ABUJA…. let’s see his influence now✌️who get influence no dey shout @npf_nccc I have more people to bring ooooo,”
The Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi in a statement today has admitted that Blord is in their custody for investigation of alleged fraud.
The statement by ACP Adejobi stated that Blord Group, Blord Real Estate Ltd, Blord Jetpaye Ltd and Billpoint Technologies are being investigated for alleged fraud, violation of CBN act by the FCID-NCCC.
The offences include allegations on cryptocurrency fraud, aiding internet fraud, computer-related fraud, terrorism funding, and non-compliance with regulatory framework.
The Police Force in the statement promised to apply due diligence in the investigations as they look forward to safeguarding the nations cyberspace by all means.
